I heard someone say that when we work on healing from childhood abuse, we’re “playing the long game.” I’m not familiar with that term so I looked it up; it means, basically, doing something that is a slow process which will bring success eventually.
So yes, our healing is indeed a long game. It sometimes feels like nothing is changing, like we’re making no progress. And the enemy of our souls tells us that it will never get better, but that is a lie straight from hell. Because God is helping us.
Change is happening, whether or not we see it. And we will be free—whole—restored—delivered one day. Just don’t give up. Please email me any time (Mary.Brown@SilenceBrokenNow.org).
